1 of 2 injured drivers taken into custody after Port Dover crash

OPP officials opened an investigation after a two-vehicle crash in Norfolk County resulted in one driver being taken into custody Wednesday morning.

Responding officers say they arrived on scene on the Port Dover lift bridge where two vehicles had collided. Both drivers sustained minor injuries.

One of the two drivers was taken into police custody following the incident, officers said.

No information about circumstances leading to the crash or charges against the driver have been released at this time.

Hamilton Plank Road was closed between John and St. Andrew Streets while OPP investigated. All roads have since reopened.
