Brantford police arrest 2 following child pornography investigation

Two people have been arrested and face charges for allegedly accessing child pornography, Brantford police said Wednesday.

According to officials, an investigation was opened after police received a tip from the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children.

The force’s internet child exploitation team executed a search warrant at a Brantford address, where they seized multiple computers, cellphones, and other electronic devices.

As a result, investigators say they took a 22-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman into custody on Tuesday, who now face charges.

The identities of the accused have not yet been released.

Officials say the investigation remains ongoing, and police are still accepting tips related to this case.

Tipsters who wish to remain anonymous are asked to contact Brant-Brantford Crime Stoppers at 519-750-8477 or 1-800-222-8477.
