Caledonia man charged for head-on crash in rural Ancaster

Hamilton police have charged a man from Caledonia with careless driving causing bodily harm in connection to a crash that took place in February.

On Feb. 27, officers were called to a head-on collision involving two vehicles near Trinity Road South and Butter Road West at 4:45 p.m.

Given the severity of one of the men’s injuries, the department’s collision reconstruction team took over.

Investigators later learned that one of the drivers, a 36-year-old man from Caledonia, had been driving with a suspended license.

On Friday, the force said that he had been arrested and charged with dangerous operation causing bodily harm.

His court date is scheduled for July 18, 2024.
