Brantford woman arrested for shooting at houses in Delhi

An arrest has been made in connection to a shooting that took place in Norfolk County earlier this week.

OPP say that 24-year-old Shannon Dyment of Brantford was arrested Wednesday for firing a gun at multiple residences near Talbot Road and Queen Street in Delhi.

The initial shooting took place around 9 p.m. on Monday, and no one was injured.

Dyment is facing charges multiple firearm charges, including reckless discharge, careless use and unauthorized possession.

She remains in custody and is scheduled to undergo a bail hearing at a Simcoe courthouse at a later date.

The vehicle she was a passenger in when the shooting occurred was also seized.

Police say the driver of that black 2016 Ford Escape remains outstanding.

Authorities describe him as a white man who is between 20 and 30 years old. At the time of the shooting, he wore a hat, sunglasses, a balaclava, and a white shirt.
