Youth in custody after disturbance sends Paris high school into hold-and-secure

A youth is in custody following a disturbance at Paris District High School that resulted in a brief hold-and-secure Thursday morning.

Ontario Provincial Police say the school placed itself in a hold-and-secure shortly before 11 a.m.

Brant OPP quickly arrived and arrested the youth involved in the disturbance.

No injuries were reported.

The hold-and-secure was in place for only five minutes.

Officers say there is no threat to public safety.
