An electrical fire at a home on the Hamilton Mountain caused $400,000 in damages.
Emergency crews were called out to Locheed Drive around 6:30 p.m. Monday after residents at the home discovered a fire.
“Everyone had already exited the home safely without injury upon arrival of firefighters,” Steve Welton, an assistant deputy fire chief, told CHCH News.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire, and it was later determined to have originated as the result of an electrical failure.
Authorities estimate there to be around $400,000 in damages to the home.
