Two teenagers who went on a vandalizing spree in the Town of Welland have been arrested, police say.
The incident spans back to the middle of May when several properties, street signs and cars were defaced with hateful language and crude imagery.
Police say the mischief occurred sometime between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. on May 18.
Residents living near Bradley and Sauer Avenues awoke to a slew of graffiti on several homes, including an 80-year-old woman who had “old fart” sprayed across her house’s front window.
On Tuesday, police announced that they had arrested two teens who they say are responsible for the damage.
They’re both from 14, from Welland and facing a charge of mischief under $5,000. One of them is also facing a charge for disobeying a court order.
They were both held in custody and scheduled to undergo a bail hearing at a St. Catharines courthouse.
