A man has died after he was found in life-threatening condition on the side of the road near the Township of Tuscarora.
On Friday, authorities say they were called out to part of Fourth Line Road near Mohawk Road around 11:20 a.m.
When they arrived, they found a man in his 40s on the side of the road in critical condition.
An air ambulance was called to the scene and the man was taken to hospital. Police say he ultimately succumbed to his injuries the following day.
Six Nations police have requested assistance from the province’s police force, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Local authorities issued a statement on Monday alerting the public to an increased police presence in the area.
The Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service have both been notified and will be assisting in the investigation.
